Rifle Scopes Scope rings for surgeon 1581 xl action

I am currently having a 338 lapua built on a surgeon 1581 xl repeater action. The barrel is a heavy varmint bartlein. The scope I chose is a S & B 5-25-56. What scope rings work for this setup. I haven't picked a brand yet but was looking at spuhr,badger,and seekings. Help me out if you can thanks

With that Surgeon XL action, the Badger rings seem like a natural choice, IMO.

Get some STEEL rings on there.

Are you asking what brand you should buy or what ring height you will need for the scope to clear the barrel?

I can tell you that out of everything listed I would choose the Spuhr.

Yes what height of rings for the spuhr so the scope will clear.

I am pretty sure our 1,18" height will clear.
Not 100% but well 95%
So SP-4601 would probably be best choise as I suppose you have 20 moa on the action already?

1581 has a 30 MOA rail, per specs at 1581 XL Action | Surgeon Rifles

Might be worth double checking actual cant on your receiver / rail. Given the typical cartridges chambered in the 1581 and end use, I could see it having a 30 MOA rail.

Then i would stick to 0 moa mount SP-4001

For most setups 1.0" center height rings will do the job, if you have stock that has a rail that goes over the barrel like a AI-AX then you need to get with 1.265" to 1.375". I also recommend alloy, have the scope and the rings be the same material.
