I am a new owner of a Nightforce ATACR 4-16 42, looking to get this thing as "tight" as possible as far as mounting goes.. Not tightly mounted physically, but tight in the sense of properly set atop my SCAR20s

A spuhr mount with the wedge seems a bit rudimentary to get a 99.9% level.. maybe i am wrong?

I ran across the scope setter and it seems easy enough.. Has anyone used one or have one? or can anyone suggest another option besides the wedge that came with the spuhr?

link: https://www.inventeng.com/scope-setter.asp

I have also looked at fix it sticks scope jack but with the spuhr, I can't mount the scope jack under the scope..

or another idea: I am willing to send someone a deposit to "borrow" their scope setting device to set this once and return it back to the owner or

try to find help finding something affordable and idiot proof to have this thing correctly leveled...

I am newer on here but I have 100% and I don't have plans to do another scope like this for a very long time. any help is appreciated!

I have spent a metric fuckton on tools and related items for all manner of projects over the years. That said tha Badger Dead Level is the last money I spent on a tool to assist with scope mounting and as mentioned above I always confirm with a plumb line. IMO the Badger is good kit.

The absolute best scope mounting tool. With the plumb bob it’s damn near as close to perfect as you can get.

I use a scope jack from fix it sticks because the reticles in the optics I use are aligned with the bottom of the turret housing.

Then I verify with plumb line.

Love the idea of the scope jack, I have supported fix-it-sticks since their kickstarter days, good kit as well. I have just been waiting for confirmation the scope jack worked as designed, seems I just got it! Thanks!
That said I wish they used a better quality bit than the current ones, like Wiha etc...

That’s the only thing that has kept me from one of their kits. So for now I keep a smaller Klein bag full of various torx, sockets, and flat tips.
