I apologize in advance if this topic has been beaten to death because I'm sure it's not uncommon. But I'm looking for the right way to fix it and haven't found it yet. I have an M40 replica with a Redfield Accurange 3-9X scope on it. My problem is that the elevation adjustment seems to be topped out and it's "right on" at only 100yds. The mount is an old Redfield similar to what was used on the original M40's and the rings are also the type used on the original M40. I'd like to get more elevation out of the scope but I don't know how. I used to have an older Redfield Accurange 6-18X that had a turret on top that you could remove and move past the "stop" in order to get another full turn. I'm guessin' no such luck with this scope. Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks guys...

Re: Scope topped out...

Apparently Leupold has a Base that will work that has 15MOA of cant. The model # is 51734. It's called a "Long Range" base. Looks as M40 correct as anything I've seen except for the real thing. I wonder if there was "cant" on the originals???

Re: Scope topped out...

I could have swore I read in one of the M40/M40A1 threads they had a 30moa base. I only shot the rifles, not build them so I don't know for sure. Might be worth reading through the threads though.
