Hello, new member seeking advice. Almost finished putting together two 6.5mm rifles. All I have left is the scopes and muzzle devices. I’m a little overwhelmed with all the scope options, but I’ve narrowed it down and was looking for opinions of more experienced shooters.
Uses: fun at the range and maybe informal competition. Looking to have fun and meet folks rather than worrying about winning.
Rifle #1: 6.5 Creedmoor Rem 700 action with a Remage Criterion varmint contour in a KRG Bravo. Weight is not a concern, looking to keep scope budget at $1k. Considering refurb Vortex Razor Gen 1 5-20x50 or Steiner Px4i 4-16x56. Leaning towards the Steiner.
Rifle #2: 6.5 Grendel Howa Mini Action in a MDT LSS Chassis with a Magpul CTR stock and riser. This build is for my daughters (9 and 13-yrs old), so weight is a concern. An Athlon Midas TAC 4-16 seemed a good fit but they are heavy, I’ve also considered a SWFA fixed 10x, Bushnell Match Pro or Leupold Vx-Freedom AR 4-12x40 30mm.
Any other scopes I need to consider?
