Apparently, the decision came last night. The justices voted 5-4 to deny, with Chief Justice Roberts and Amy Coney Barret siding with the liberal justices to deny. Therefore, he will be adjudicated/sentenced this morning at 9:30am and, officially, become a "Convicted Felon."
This is going to be interesting. Oh, to be a fly on the wall when Trump takes the "Oath of Office" on the 20th from Roberts himself! Will make for some interesting small talk on that dais! That is, if Roberts actually does it! I wonder if Trump will insist on a different justice (Thomas or Alito) if he can.
Second, what will be the fallout from all this? Will "unfortunate things" start to happen to Judge Merchan or DA Alvin Bragg? Or any others involved? I mean, I'm sure Trump's legal team can get the case reversed and dismissed, no problem. But for that "stain" of becoming a "Convicted felon..." will there be any "retaliation" against those doing the "staining?"
Hmmmmmmm..... Break out the Popcorn!
