Heading up to do some scouting in Northern Nevada, area 221-223 early tag. Gonna put up some trail cameras, will post up pictures here if I capture that "elusive Monster Mulie" on film! Got the scouting trip plotted out on topo map and downloaded into GPS. It will be nice to get out there and see what is moving around!

Went scouting, not many mule deer to be seen, elk were out and about everywhere, got a few pics of a few small bulls that came right in where we were glassing.
Put out a few trail cameras, will post up if I get anything interesting.

Just got my deer tag from Wyoming in the mail, got either sex white tail tag in areas 65,66, and 88 just south of Casper. I looked at the statistics from the last time they did them (2009) Most tags were filled in 66, there was a %100 success rate in 88 with a decent amount of bucks taken, looks to be a decent area (for white tails) I thought I was applying for a general deer tag, not a white tail tag...I shouldn't be allowed to operate a computer, always manage to screw myself somehow! I guess a little white tail hunting will be a change of pace anyway, but I was really hoping to go after some of the huge mulies I have seen up there! Next year I reckon.
Gonna be a busy fall, mule deer in Nevada October 5 - 12th.
Wyoming Cow and Bull elk October 13th - 20th
Wyoming White tail deer - when we get done elk hunting
Montana deer/elk combo - when I get done white tail hunting and/or end of October
Looking forward to fall, got good dope for the 30/06 out to 600, beyond that and the Barrett 99 50 bmg is going to come out to play!

I reckon so! Hopefully some mule deer will make an appearance before the fifth of October! I am going to hit it hard this year, so I am confident that I will run into something!
