Well if he had been able to torpedo Trump with the fake dossier he partially paid for and pull off a win against Hillary (highly unlikely), he would be dead before midterms so what was all that BS for?

The final irony is that likely knowing he had just a day or two to live, he had to make an announcement that he was going off his medication. Another round of Spotlight and media sympathy and attention from all quarters. He got,to read his own obit... And it was all flowers and praise.
He could have just gone away quietly . But the great big announcement on Thursday that he was going off medication just seems to me to be the final throes of a complete histrionic narcissist.
