Every actual Seal (and most soldiers, and Marines) has been very Humble if measured against their accomplishments. Your assertion that these elite Americans do what they do because of some kind of ego problem shows and your conflation of them with some jerk you may have worked with once shows just what a you are douche.

I believe you mis understood my use of ego, and not surprising. By ego, in this case, I meant a high drive to achieve in what ever field of endeavor. Thats generally a good, positive trait.

When it becomes "Pride", not pride in a goal accomplished but and I mean 'pride in a negative sense, such as "Pride comes before a fall, and a haughty spirit before destruction, pride that is built on others being lower, or failure, thats not good.

the drive to be "The Best or the best" often come from a huge ego as well as a desire to serve. Ive seen it in work related situations. The bigger the ego the bigger the problem/situation.

Huge ego in the context you use is followed by comparing DEVGRU special operators to co-worker with whom you report to have seen "big problems" from their huge ego it's pretty clear to me what you meant.
