I’ve used the search function but haven’t found the answer I need.

I’ve now shot two PRC/NRL22 style matches with my RPR (athlon Argos scope). I’m using Strelok pro (free version) for approximation on my dopes. I have access to a 200 yrd range but the competitions tend to be predominantly 200-300 yard targets...... with a few out to 400+ I’m confident in my shooting ability (I’m no pro...... but NOT knowing dopes or how to better figure them out on the fly is really hindering my enjoyment of the sport)

My questions:

1) is there an app where I can input actual foods settings from 0-200 yards and have it adjust base of the discrepancies?

2) how else would I get dope settings from 200-400? Even going back to the range the targets won’t be adjustable and I’ll only be able to get dopes for whatever targets they have set up that specific day?

Thank you!

I like strelock pro, its what I run for my "big" guns and its solid for the price with a ton on little things that make a difference. Now for 100% dead on dope you'll need to verify at distance, but that's going to be difficult since 200-400 is getting a good bit past what a 22lr is built to do. So you might be dead on with elevation but a slight breeze will blow you clean off target.

Find a better range...

I use strelok pro. It's great for getting close, but I've found rimfire to be a funky beast. Same bullet weight, same velocity, 1 mil different drops at 100 changing brands.

What are you using for ammo? I've found eley match, osp, and biathlon to be very accurate in my rifle. CCI standard will stack 1 hole at 50, and be 10" at 200. Eley will do the same at 50, but be 5" at 200.

You must have found a club with very good or arrogant shooters. We've found that keeping the targets 200 yards and in, with very small targets separates the points plenty. With the Nationals going out 300+ I can see more clubs going that way though.

I use StrelokPro for my 22. athlon Helos BTR and Wolf Extra Match. Verify velocity, dope and scope tracking. The 22 is pretty unforgiving and it’s hard to mask and fundamental weaknesses. Which is why I love training with it.

Pretty sure StrelokPro has that. As does JBM.

Strelok Pro (SP) has a truing function which allows you to adjust velocity or BC to match what the bullet actually does at range. It also has an extensive library of factory .22 ammunition; just find your particular brand and select it, and the cartridge's factory data will be loaded for you. Then you can put in actual observed velocity, weather info, etc. The first time I shot my new Vudoo, I had two rounds of Lapua-sourced Wolf Match Extra (aka SK Rifle Match) left at the end of the day. I had entered actual chronographed velocity, zeroing weather, etc. Just for grins, I asked SP for a 400-yard solution and got something like 20 mils elevation. Dial it in and let fly at a 10" plate. I'd never tried 400 yards with a .22 before; 300 was goofy enough. POP. ting. POP. ting. I went home happy.

Anyway, let's say you have a 50-yard zero with Lapua Center-X. Strelok Pro gives you a 7.0 mil elevation for 200 yards. After extensive observation of actual rounds on target, that lot is centering rounds at 6.5mils at "x" temp and "y" station pressure (or "z" density altitude). So you go to the truing function in lower right corner of the SP home screen. I have come to really dislike truing with velocity for reasons I won't go into here, so I true using ballistic coefficient. So you tap the BC square, enter your actual observed elevation, hit Calculate, then Use this BC, then Save. Done. Now SP will apply this adjusted BC at all ranges; your 200-yard solution will now show 6.5 mils instead of 7.0.

Just keep in mind this is rimfire, and you trued for a specific set of conditions. Maybe it's a Tuesday. If you shoot on Thursday, you might get something different. Because it's a bleeping .22! Have fun!
