Help me out here, I really don’t need anything but I have a 30% off certificate that I bought from a member. It includes Free shipping and discount up to $2500 on anything on their website.

I have been looking hard at the SP-10 .308 and the new NXP8 300 BO. Different animals I know. What would you do with 30% off?

Thanks

all I can say is the parts from him I have bought have been high quality. I bought a lower receiver for an SBR build and was surprised he uses some screws in his lowers....not just pins. So I was impressed by that. I always wanted to get my hands on one of his guns but haven't had the chance.
So I have been thinking about his new NXP8, just to play with @ $1315 shipped a good deal in your opinion?

So, apparently nobody likes Seekins or 30% off is not a good deal...

Thanks
I'm not sure what you want us to tell you. You're talking about buying two completely different types of arms as you stated. A blackout pistol or an SP10 does not exactly have the same uses. What do you want to do? Short distance deer and pig killer or shooting LR? Hell if it was me I'd buy a Havak but you didn't ask about it.

like I said, I really don’t need anything, pretty much have the bases covered. You mentioning the Havak is helpful. Never had a Seekins product - so I probably should have worded it in a different manner

Thanks for your input

I've been lurking in the threads in this section of the forums where people are talking about 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor AR's. It has been a popular topic lately and I've been making some mental notes about what I hear since it'll probably be my next purchase. It seems like JP, GAP, KAC and LMT usually dominate the discussions but I'm always interested to see the occasional person chime in to talk about the Seekins rifles. It seems like they aren't held to as high regard to the JP and GAP rifles but a lot of people have had good things to say about them and at a fraction of the cost it seems tempting.

...I tried searching for a link to a thread for you but wasn't having any luck. I think there's a thread from back in December called "JP vs GAP vs Seekins"

Seekins is good stuff. I got their 3g model and it kicks ass right out of the box. Very well made, nice trigger, accurate. No complaints at. I would put it up against Larue or Noveske any day for half the price.

I had a SP10 in 308 and really liked it. Very accurate, and for the money there isn't a better value. I would not hesitate to pick up another one or recommend it to anyone.

Eventually I sold it to pick up a JP LRP-07 in 6.5 which I am very impressed with so far but have not fired it yet as I'm still saving for a propper optic.

Thanks for that, I searched SP-10; Seekins 308; 6.5 etc etc and couldn’t come up with it. For under 18 bills I am really liking te sp10 right now. The coupon is good until July 1, so I can ponder for a while yet. I really appreciate the info here guys and want it - positive or negative...still don’t need it either but 30% of the Havak certainly is a good deal. Nice lightweight 7# in 28 nos or 6.5 prc would be interesting

Just as an FYI, GA Precision uses Seekins uppers/lowers on the GAP-10. They build the gun, and barrel it, etc, but the upper/lower is a Seekins. I’ve heard nothing but good about their stuff. Glen Seekins seems like a great guy, and is active on some forums. I would absolutely not hesitate to build something on a Seekins upper/lower set.
I have a GAP-10, and it’s a laser.

SP10 all the way, here’s mine, I love it, very accurate...

Seekins rifles and parts are excellent. Glen Seekins actually started years ago in the precision rifle industry (right here on the hide) by making Remington 700 scope rails and rings. So he's got a precision rifle background.

I've shot a few of the SP10 6.5 Creedmoors. They were hammers and that's the model I'd buy if I was looking for a large frame precision gas gun. Personally I'd forgo the 308. There was just recently a member here asking about suggestions to rebarrel his 6.5 Creedmoor SP10 and his barrel had lasted 4300 rounds which is phenomenal.

What I'd do (did) with the 30% off scratcher I got at a match probably doesn't apply here. I already have a couple extra SP223 receivers, and a SP10 builder set which I've still yet to use. I'm putting together a 224 Valkyrie DMR rifle so I used it to get another IRMT-3 receiver, a SP3R handgard, and a few other parts/pieces to put an AR15 together for my dad. Still have two 20% scratchers to use but I'll probably hold out in hopes to snag another 30% or even a 40% or 50% (in my dreams).

I’m also looking at SP10 .308 Instead of starting a new thread I’ll just ask here. Is .75 MOA with match ammo pretty feasible with this rifle? Anyone know of any active coupons?

My sometimes shooting partner has a Seekins sp10 in 308 and it is a greatttt shooter, I have shot it several times and it is always sub moa out to 500 yards, some times much more. I have talked to their customer service on a couple of occasions and they are first class people.Get a new toy and enjoy.

I’m glad to see all the positive comments about the sp10 and seekins in general. My shooting partner and I are currently waiting for delivery of an sp10 for me and a havak pro hunter for him. Both in 6.5cm. It’s my first venture into long range gas guns and I’m happy to see people having success with them. I have a feeling the rifle is going to outshoot the monkey behind the trigger in my case. I can second seekins customer service being great in my experience. They have been nothing short of a pleasure to deal with.

I’ll be sure to give a firsthand report once mine hits the range.

Bought three 500rd cases of FGMM .308 168 from Bdmor and have the SP-10 on backorder with Seekins. What a great deal from everyone involved, including advice from this forum. $3K for the rifle and 1500 rounds of FGMM. The back order gives me a little time to think about what I will put topside. Thanks to everyone for your help.

How did they end up shooting?

The NXR shoots IMI 77gr. about 1/2MOA when I keep my head out of my ass. I finally got the Havak in about 2 weeks ago and in it's first outing it was in the 1/2 MOA range with Hornady precision hunter 143gr.ELDX and 3/4 MOA with Hornady Match 140 ELDM, about 1.2MOA with Hornady Match 147 ELDM. I'm going to try the Federal berger OTM load in it this week and see how that does.

My main focus with this particular rifle is to find a factory load it shoots well so I can use it for occasional PRS club matches. I handload for a bunch of other guns already and just want something I can shoot a bunch and not have to deal with loading for it.

It's well worth the wait. I am a big fan of Seekins products.

My SP10 ate the 168 FGMM and Norma 168 Match very nicely until I decided to wage war on Georgia hogs with it. Then I switched to 168 TSX over 43.5gr RL15. I lost count a while ago, but it has well over 200 hogs down.
