Seekins Bolt upgrade

Just curious what it is and if any on you have had it done? I emailed seekins and it sounds like a new bolt and a "minor action modification"? I had originally had a few ignition problems with mine but a new firing pin solved the problem and am now very happy with it.

Wondering if it has something to do with the complaints that it partially cocks on close? That never bothered me at all and just not sure it's worth it to me to send them my gun unless it is some huge improvement. Any info?

I had the modification done on my Havak PH2 .308 Win. The cock on close issue was the biggest complaint that I had read about, though it really hadn't bothered me. Turnaround was within a couple of weeks. It did cost me around a hundred bucks to ship it to them, but no shipping charge for the return.

Exactly my experience. The also installed some “floating breach face” or some shit in the action. Mine was the first production run. Hated the cock on close and short bolt handle. Can’t tell you how many times I scraped all the flesh off my knuckle in my throw lever. I fixed the bolt handle. Seekins fixed the bolt. Gun came back great. Still shot the exact same. 100% cock on open is so much better for me.

Which cartridge is yours chambered in?

I can see how your power ring and throw lever would draw blood. They are serrated.
