Does anyone know for sure if this Seekins DBM uses the AICS mags? in particular the polymer .223 ones?
Any issues using this for a Stiller Tac30 in .223?
Trying to get the official word from them but no response yet?

Here's the SWFA info;

Stock # - SEEAICSSA
Short Action
Magazine not included
Fits Remington 700 Short Actions

And the link;

Seekins Precision Detachable Bottom Metal

That's the one I am waiting on. I looked everywhere and nobody has any in stock.

Did they charge your CC at ordering? or do they do it when it ships? I've read some stuff here that there CS is pretty good? Did they give you a "guesstimate" if you asked? about when they might be "in stock" ?

Just looked at my credit card statement and they did not charge my account for what was backordered. I spoke with there CS and they were as helpful as they could be. They could not give me a date when they could expect to have it shipped out but they said seekins tries to get backordered products taken care of quickly. I like seekins products and think the wait will be worth it, so I will have exactly what I want.

Sounds good, IYO do you think that these will show up first at SWFA or on the Seekins website? the price difference is only $10. I agree I'm on the waiting list like yourself. Thanks

No problem man. I'm not sure, I would think that SWFA has them on order so seekins should know what their distributers would need. I don't think ordering from Seekins or SWFA would have any advantages over the other.

seekins says that all of the dbm's will be shipping out in @ 2weeks.there are enough to keep them in stock till the end of the year. they supposedly have them back from coating and are assembling them now.

Thanks, no response from Seekins yet? and a "generic" one from SWFA, no worries though. After all this, I'm hoping that my AICS .223 polymer mags will work with this DBM?
2 weeks will go fast.

I had a long action bottom metal on order since mid March with SWFA. I called a few times through the summer and they were friendly but informed me they didn't have a time for delivery. Around early September I called back and was told the same thing, there wasn't an ETA. I decided to call Seekins directly and the very friendly lady told me that she didn't have an estimate of when the bottom metals would be done.

After hearing this I figured that waiting on a bottom metal wasn't going to work for me. (Note: the bottom metal was the last piece I need to have the rifle finished). I decided to give McMillan a call and see if there was another bottom metal that I could have my stock re-inletted for and I was told surgeon. One call to surgeon and I had my bottom metal 2 days later. Granted now I have an extra 2 months of wait while my stock is being inletted again.

I'm not typing this post to throw anyone under the bus, just my experience trying to obtain a bottom metal. On a side note all the companies involved had excellence customer service and I fully understood the supply strain all companies were going through.

I have one ordered through seekins and swfa so as soon as they ship out I should hear something. I can't imagine it would be much longer. they were supposed to be back for assembly 3 weeks ago. I know seekins is in the middle of building a new facility so that may be slowing things down as well
