Seekins Havak Bravo Bolt Issue - Issue has been resolved

Hopefully I’m doing something wrong, but I just picked up a Seekins Havak Bravo in 308 that I ordered in May from FFL. I cannot get the bolt to insert fully. It is definitely the new bolt because it is a new production rifle bought from Seekins. Any advice or direction would be appreciated.

Did you depress the bolt release button on side of action when trying to insert it? Same release button you depressed to take it out maybe!

Did you accidentally uncock the bolt

Yea definitely depressed that to insert it. The rifle shipped with the bolt packaged separately so it was never in the rifle fully. The lugs of the bolt seem to binding up in the action.

The bolt was uncocked as delivered. Any suggestions how to remedy that

Looks to be similar in function to a standard rem 700. They make a tool for it or you can check out a few YouTube videos on how to do it with a dime, washer, small flat metal item and a vise if you have one. It can be done many ways, just beware the possibility to scratch or scuff is there if you are not careful. The cocking piece more than likely just needs to be rotated about a 1/4 turn to align the lugs up with the raceway.

Shoulda kept reading.
Glad you got it fixed.
I use a loop of string and a dime to disassemble my remington bolts.
Doesn't cause any scratches

That looks kind of odd - with the bolt only being fluted on 1 side. I'll have to check mine out but I sure never noticed that before.... Maybe just the new upgraded bolt?
