Seekins Hit Pro M3 Vs Tikka T3x Ace

Anyone have hands on with these?

Obviously Tikka is Tikka but Seekins is claiming to have a smoother action and the Hit Pro m3 comes with a TT Diamond.

I am looking to buy a 223 bolt gun. Sub 2k. Generally prefer custom build but both of these can be had for sub 2k.

I would go Seekins if $ was the same.

And I love a Tikka, upgraded or bine stock. Good rifles. Custom they are not.

More options and actual CS with them vs the Beretta “screw you!!” plan if anything is an issue.

I don't know how the new Seekins bolts feel but I've messed with the bolts on about 5-10 of the PH2 and Elements (not the new ones) and was very surprised with how easy they were to bind. I guess it depends what people mean by "smooth".

The Seekins will have more features and better customer support compared to a Tikka. It'll also have a wider aftermarket trigger selection (which seems to be a factor for you).

My Gen 3 HIT is in the mail, I'll let you know on sunday how I like it. The only other thing I can compare it with is a Delta 5 pro but that thing is an absolute Tac driver and i love the chassis so I have looked past the bolt travel being bindy if you dont perfectly keep the bolt level.

Have you actually shot one or just fiddle fucked them?

I’ve owned a PH2 NRL 6.5CM and an Element 7PRC and can definitively say that they are not prone to binding running them like you should a bolt gun. Put a bunch of outward pressure on the bolt like a retard though instead of pushing it forward and yeah you can probably bind one up just like anything else. Every 700 pattern action is that way and almost every other bolt action.

The other consideration would be to build a semi custom rifle off of an Aero Sols action. But have been struggling to find a good 223 wylde pre fit

Haven't looked recently but got an email the other day that the europtic is still having a crazy tikka sale. They had a lite in 350 legend for 499. Toss that barrel in the trash, twist on a prefit 223 or 223ai preferred barrel blanks shouldered. Drop it in a chassis. TT is supposed to be coming out with a diamond for the tikka.

I was planning to get a custom action for a 7 saum, but dang when they had a 6.5 prc for 599 i grabbed that. Already pulled the barrel about to order the prefit. Its my 5th tikka .

I can't see paying for a whole rifle once you are up around 2k. Why not just get an action and prefit so you can make it exactly how you want it. If you contact the barrel maker they can probably throat it for the bullet you want to use too.

Similarly, I can't see paying 800+ for a tikka if you only want the action, but at 499 thats worth considering.

Yeah, I guess if you have enough money, but spending 1K + for just about ANYTHING, much less a rifle, and then literally throwing away half of it away…….Whooey!!

What? If you get a tikka at 499 and don't use the barrel( which you can probably sell or save for a rainy day) then a barrel for 400 to 600 you are in it about the same as the cheapest tikka at normal prices, and a lot less than their more expensive heavy barrel models. Bonus you get to make it exactly how you want it. If you are starting with one of their 1k + dollar models that would be silly to do.

No, I can agree on a 499 Tikka . I was referring to the more expensive models.
