I have done multiple searches on this topic.

I'm way down the road on a .260 build and need to make the call on my DBM.

I was going to go with Surgeon as I have read lots of great things and am not a fan of the Badger release. However, after learning more about the Seekins, it really sounds like a great solution. I would be looking at the AICS DBM, not the proprietary.

What I can't find is any head to head information on the current Seekins DBM and the Surgeon DBM. The Seekins release seems to be very functional and easy, and it appears that hide members are big fans of Seekins quality. That said, Surgeon appears to be great as well. I'm just lacking any specific examples of differences between the two products.

If anyone can provide any pro/cons between the two I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks very much

Re: Seekins vs. Surgeon DBM

I have the new seekins dbm that uses aics mags I highly recommend it.I've never had or used surgeon so I cant say the pro and cons. But i went with seekins because the push button release and it functions perfectly.

Re: Seekins vs. Surgeon DBM

IMHO,they're both top notch quality products.
You've already noted the release on each type.
Both are ambidextrous.

The biggest difference between the two is probably Surgeon's extended mag well (both at the front at back). Some would probably make the argument that's just added weight.

You can only analyze the two so much.

If you decide on the Seekins, consider mine for sale in the Options and Accessories

Re: Seekins vs. Surgeon DBM

So the release and mag well are the main differences?

Any meaningful difference in weight?

Any opinions on general ease of use, quality of build, or any issues coming up with either one?

Thanks for the feedback.
