I appreciate what they are trying to do, but this seems to be a solution in search of a problem. If they really wanted to increase our ability to hit our targets on the first shot (which we can already do without much trouble) then they should give us more ammo to practice with, and not waste money on a theoretical piece of equipment.

And like Chiller said, it has to be Marine proof.

I absolutely agree. Plus, the whole setup seems centered around high precision parts which may fail in the field. So if you rely entirely on one thing, and that one thing breaks, you're in a L.O.S.

I have watched Gordy Gritters chambering video several times and from what he says, the bore on all barrels is never concentric with the outside of the barrel, so using the flutes on the outside of the barrel as a reference point to line up the scope with the bore doesnt seem like a good way to do it, JMHO

maybe a manual mode with traditional turrets for back-up, would be a good idea if possible

Burris made the ultimate scope a while ago. Now, If it just had an inclinometer built in too...

FYI,

In 2002 there was a thread started here on the Hide that ask mfg's if it was possible to build such a scope. In fact I recall the response Mike D. gave, as well as those folks still here.

In that same thread it was ask if odd power scopes, could be built as well.

Seems folks that don't post here may hold/control some purse strings. More sighted folks here, than many know. Plus it now appears a few that don't post here, may be bottom line sighted as well.

Wish we could get back to those days.
