It was only shot at 25m as thats all I could do today at home but will try it at 50m next time in at the range. I nailed everything except the "know your limits" stage.

2. HAPTOSHOOT.............185
3. ERIK.300ULTRA..............180

It seems as the TRC target is popular and it also looks as if we settled on a final target. ERIK.300ULTRA took the top spot at the bench division, and CARTER MAYFIELD shot a perfect 250 - the 2nd time in only 2 months worth of comps. It's also good to see JOE MARTIN back at the hide, and welcome to HAPTOSHOOT, a new shooter in the comps.

September was a little light on shooters as compared to August, but hopefully October will get more action. Ah, Ocotber, a month of harvest, hunting, haunting - and "Hiding".

Re: SEPTEMBER 2010 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Nice shooting my friends! Congrats to all! Kansas45, there's always next month - starting tomorrow...

I want to thank Top Predator for getting our results sorted out and posted each month. If they gave out an MVP Award for doing this, he'd sure have my vote! Thanks TP!

Re: SEPTEMBER 2010 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Great shooting everyone. Sorry I didn't get a chance to play this month but Sept 25 was opening day for the "Stick and String" deer season and since I haven't picked up my bow all summer I thought I better get some practice time in. Then a deal came up on a new bow that I couldn't pass up so it was a mad dash to get it dialed in before opening day. But it all paid off.

That was the exit hole and she was quartering away from me pretty good 25 yards away.

Sorry Bench here. And I'll second that!

Re: SEPTEMBER 2010 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

congrats on the deer, for many a year (12 yrs) i didn't touch a rifle at all and used a bow for everything. unfortunately with the house, kid, work schedule etc., i couldn't possibly be as good as i once was, or just be lucky. since i prefer to be good rather than lucky, i sold all my compounds, recurves, arrows, and jigs last year. plus i owe it to the animal to take a clean kill and not wound it 'cause i was too busy to practice.

anyway congrats on the deer.

I posted one of my 100 yard, but didn't bother to for my 50. Sometimes I get around to it and sometimes I don't. We kinda go on the honor system here. It's just for fun, so nobody has any reason to lie (if that's what you're implying). Besides, after you've spent a while here you get to know the skill level of most of the shooters anyway.

SBS, I think Kansas meant that he didn't get out to shoot the matches and was disappointed.

Re: SEPTEMBER 2010 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

No SBS. I'm not implying anything. I am saying that those of you that got out & shot deserve a big hand & a hearty congraulations. I just plain did not have any time to spend shooting the matches this month.

Yeah, thats it.

Re: SEPTEMBER 2010 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

I know what you mean about finding time to shoot, Kansas45. It's not always that easy. I'm heading to the Range this morning to try my hand at that new SH Tactical Target from 50 yards. It won't be for record today, just a practice session to familiarize myself with this new target.
