Is there any down side to an SFP scope over a FFP other the sub tensions are off on SFP except at max power? I like, and have all FFP scopes now but the Razor LHT checks all the boxes on what I want for a certain gun and I can't find an FFP that does.

Not really, if anything there are some benefits. The reticle is the same at any power, so it looks the same even at the lowest power (no tiny lines). This is helpful for close hunting shots.

Have you looked at the Athlon Ares BTR GEN2 2.5-15x50? It is a FFP scope that is the closest FFP I've found to the LHT. If you're looking for a lightweight lowlight hunting scope, I think a good competitor to the Razor LHT is the Trijicon Credo 2.5-15x56 SFP with illuminated mrad reticle. The Credo is supposed to have really good glass for the price, but like you I shoot FFP everything now and don't really want to go back to SFP to get 56mm glass at a decent weight. The first company to come out with a lightweight FFP 3-18x56 or 4-20x56 scope (not named Optika6) will get my money, but the reticle has to be right (hence my Optika6 comment as their lack of wind holds on the main stadia is baffling).

No nothing other than the reticles sub tensions only being true at one set magnification. If you aren’t in a rush there is talk about bushnell updating their lrts line in the next few months which may check off your boxes.

I think a lot of people would like to see an updated LRTS, including myself. It fits great for what I want. Just a bit heavy but with the other features I can live with it.

I have an Ares in 4.5-27 and really like it. Trying to get lighter, lower turrets and smaller objective. I'll take a look at the Trijicon.

No, normally cheaper and lighter than FFP as well. I've shot SFP scopes out to about 800 yards. NF is making SFP reticles with differently-spaced subtensions on either side of the vertical crosshair, so the subtensions can be accurate at either half magnification or full magnification. Maybe other brands will start to do the same.
