Has anyone shipped their own reloaded ammo before? Any tips or insight from those that have before? I've read the UPS/Fedex pages concerning shipping your own ammo but want to hear from those that have actually done it. I understand it has to be marked (ORM-D) and they say each round within the box of ammo has to be separated from one another (which is accomplished with any ammo box), or in other words you can't just throw all the ammo in a plastic bag and throw it in a box to ship. Would a ammo binder count? I have a couple cole-tac 120 round binders and those hold the ammo better than the ammo boxes I have? Any tips/tricks/insight is much appreciated!

Are you shipping them to yourself? Just put them in packaging and tape them up really good. Label them Orm-d. Good to go!

It's a long story but I am temporarily living somewhere else and don't have my reloading equipment with me but have my rifle, so a Friend is trying to ship me ammo he's loaded for me with my components (brass/bullets/powder/etc). So can he just put them in the ammo binder, throw them in a box with some packing aircells and seal it up marked ORM-D. And Ship it to me?

You have the basic gist. The binders would be fine, as would ammo boxes/trays. I’ve even received ammo from certain retailers in plastic bags just as you described.

Package it up nice and tight with some padding, mark it ORM-D, and send it UPS Ground.
