Kill them all. Let God sort them out. Just do it properly. Attend a Gunsite course and learn the art of Gunfighting but more importantly the color code of awareness. Always stay in a yellow, which the OP did. Avoid a gunfight, which the OP did. Live to fight another day, which the OP did. The couch potato second guessers can offer you many worthless opinions but they were not there. You must feel good about the outcome or you would not have shared the experience with others. Just be careful that you can’t be made to be the bad guy.

Surprised at some of the responses on here.

Who yells "Hey You!!!!" if they have something valuable to offer?

And the partner yelling "Hey, He's talking to you!" just makes it more suspicious.

If the first guy had said "excuse me sir, you dropped your soup" and the second had said "let me help you, sir", then the OP overreacted.

Otherwise, it sure seems like bad actors were attempting to distract him and maybe cause mischief.

Personally, I will choose judged by 12 over carried by 6 any day.

I was at a restaurant today when a questionable individual gained access to a good samaritan's PC to "check his e-mail". Was it innocent? Maybe, but as I said before, if you didn't ride to town with me, you are a suspect, and I will treat you as such.

For those who don't know, we are reclaiming a property that has been uninhabited for decades, and our closest neighbor is about 500 yards away and out of sight.

My wife or mom "innocently" turning far enough to one side or the other to show that they are armed has been enough to spook off more than one maggot who approached one of them when they were at the farm.
