Shooting bipod on sand

Hi Guys
I will be competing again this year in the Czech Republic Snipers Cup.
The last 3 years and this year is at the same range...a giant soft sand pit.
Every year shooters suffer from their bipods sinking in the soft sand after repeated shots.
I have tried a rubber mat, then carpet stuck to a piece of board.
Any bright ideas for something different.
It has to be light and quick to deploy, as we have to carry all equipment all day.
Cheers
Mark

Glue a strip around 2'x1' of plastic sheet with a thickness a bit above .01" to your shooting mat. Cover it with some type of elastic camo material. Dull paint will became loose soon after you roll it.
You can roll the mat but not fold the plastic sheet.
Try first to support the bipod just on the plastic sheet to confirm the thickness is enough and its width to properly support the bipod legs not allowing them to sink on sand.
Its light and adds no noticeable volume when you roll the mat.

Maybe bipod "snow shoes" would work well in the sand? Being already attached to the bipod you wouldn't need to carry any extra gear..
