I am in the market for a shooting rest and am looking for recommendations. What do ya'll think about something like the Caldwell Rock or Lead Sled or some other manufacturer? Or do you recommend just going with some quality bags? If bags, what do you suggest for the use of mostly sighting in/bench rest shooting?

As far as price goes I would probably stick to something in the $150 or less range.

Thanks.

I have used the Rock Jr and it was enough for what I needed (just something to hold the rifle up during workups.) IMHO lead sleds are a crutch.

Rock or Rock jr with a rear bag, or just get a Harris bipod. They will be fine for sighting in and shooting from the bench. Benchrest shooting is something totally different, as you can spend a grip of money on one of those rests.
