I own several tools, and dies from SAC. Zero complaints and my custom sizing and seating dies are nothing short of amazing.
I decided to have them do a barreled action build in Oct of 2020. Nothing too special, .223 REM throated for 77 grain Sierras and set for Lapua brass (no neck turn). Decided to go with a Impact Precision action with 223 bolt face, a 26” Bartlein MTU 1-7.5 twist, threaded (5/8x24) and coated. I would install the muzzle brake, trigger / FCG and mount the barreled action in a AI 2.0 chassis and bed the tang if needed. Lady who took my order put together the invoice. I must say she was pretty darn good and knew her stuff. I paid it in full and the wait began. Got to July of 2021 and had not heard a peep so I decided to call to check in. Spoke with gentleman who had no record at all regarding my build. I was slightly annoyed. Forwarded him the email I received in July with the attached invoice. Called me back and let me know my invoice / build fell through the cracks with apologies of course and that they do not have the action and or barrel in stock and that they would have to be ordered. Rough times were quoted and I was fine with what was quoted. End of August I get a call all parts are in and they are getting my build into the que. Mid Oct of 2021 I get a call build is done, been QC’ed ready to ship to FFL.
In all I am very happy with SAC, I get it stuff happens, they owned it and made it right. Build is 100% complete and will be tossing rounds through it soon.
