Anyone have a link to a Grendel barrel length vs muzzle vecocity? I know a 22” Grendel is sweet, what’s the Mv on a 16” look like?

Here are some numbers I copied from Vascar2’s post on 65grendel.com

A Friend and I chronographed a 16, 18, 20 and 24 inch barrels on the same day with a magnetto speed chronograph. Look at the difference between the 20 inch and 24 inch 6.5 Grendel barrels. The gain will be much less per inch over 24 inches due to the small 6.5 Grendel case capacity.

Here is a list of the tested ammo by average velocity for each barrel length.

Was happy with a 12.5" 6.8 on pigs but like a fool sold it when I got the wants for something else. Going to replace it with a Grendel next time around just because....

Another vote for 6.8. I love my 12.5" ARP barrel. I agree with fanninland above, 12.5" if you are gonna suppress, 16" if you aren't. It is a great hunting round for deer and smaller game. I have been shooting the 120 sst's. Factory hornady 120 sst's are going 2400 out of my 12.5" with suppressor. I haven't worked up a load for it yet, just been shooting the factory rounds. I think I can get to 2450, maybe 2500 with hand loads.
