I have been working with a new Tikka 20" chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. I have only tried the 130 Berger HVLD at this point, but only getting around 2520 with 42.6 H4350. This is with new Lapua brass and CCI 450 primers. I wanted to try 140 class bullets, but I don't think I will have any kind of velocity if I go up in weight. With the heat in Texas right now, I don't know how much hotter I can really run the load. Any of you guys running short barrels have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help.

I have a 20 inch 260 Tikka and I'm getting 2700 with 140 Berger hybrids. I'm using 43.6 grains of H4350 in Lapua brass.
I think you may need more powder.

I also shoot a 260 which holds a few grains more powder, I get low to mid 2700 with 140 gr bullets out of a 20" barrel. Are you sure your chronograph is accurate?
