Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

I had the chance to shoot an MP5 on a few occasions, but was busy shooting other FA toys. Glad you had fun and yeah, I have heard they are very smooth to operate.

You are doing better on periods. hahaha Work on capital letters now. I shot an MP5, M16, and a Tommy gun in Las Vegas, very cool. Rented all three for 30.00 apiece and as long as I paid for their ammo, I could shoot to my hears desire! I liked the MP5 the most........hehehehe.

haha always on my ass about grammer, i think the mp5 was vary smooth as well, i had the chance to shoot a gi tommy gun but at the time i was vary scard to shoot an auto even thinking about it makes me feel like a criminal. But I am vary happy to shoot the mp5 i can see why it so popular, maybe I should build one for my mom hahaha

Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

Other then a M16 with a 22 conversion, the MP5 is the smoothest shooting MG I have ever shot. A M249 is up there as well, but it's not as light and maneuverable and MP5. Also got a chance to shoot a Glock 18C the other week. It's a lot more controllable then one would think. Buy far the fastest cyclic rate out of anything I have ever shot.

Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

My brother has a MP5Kn, it's really a SP89 converted to K and rebranded by RDsomething in Arizona, and the magic Flemming sear make it a sweet weapon, but I could not justify the 14k price tag for the sear pack and another 4k for the host and acessories, the sear pack also works great in a Century knockoff HK93.

Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

most cars arnt worth 10k what makes you think spending 10k on a silly sear is worth it ?

iam not saying any thing aginst the law iam just saying my money would be better invested in somthing other then a tiny little sear

Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

Most full autos go up in value, some go up 100% every 10 years or so, I remember MAC-10's selling for 200 bucks, M16 were 700 bucks, that was 1985, now a nice used MAC-10 is 2500 or more and a M16 is 12k or more, the 86 ban is still in effect, and will never be overturned, so if you want to play you gotta pay, if you think those prices today are bad, wait until the economy is booming again.

Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

oh i know what ya mean, iam just saying i would invest my money in other places... no sub gun or machine gun ( dispite old ww2 guns and most belt feds ) are worth that price

an mp5 shouldnt be worth more then 1k transferable or not

Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

As of late, it might not be that bad of a investment. If I had the money, I would probably pick up a M16 or HK sear myself. I have never heard of anyone ever say they took a beating on selling a machine gun.

Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

Over Christmas I took my wife and sister-in-law to an indoor range in Southern Illinois. SIL had never shot a pistol before so we thought it would be a good way to kill an afternoon. I ended up renting a P226 and a FA MP5. She didn't like the P226 too much, but she loved the MP5. Very little recoil, much less than I expected actually. I was also surprised how fast your ammo goes on FA. I would have to look into reloading 9mm if I had one.

Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

when i shot it i did 2 or 3 rounds on semi and then went to fa and just did burst groups, i got a bout 5 pulls or so on the trigger.

if i had a wife i would build her an mp5k pdw or mp5sd iam shooting the mp5sd this saturday

Re: shot my first auto ( mp5 )

Fortunately, my wife loves to shoot. Unfortunately, I live in a state that is less than enthusiastic about gun ownership. So building an MP5 clone is out of the question. You should see the hoops to jump through just to build an AR.

You can own/buy a GSG-5 with the 10-round mags.
Accessorize it... Make a really sporty rim-fire rifle close to an MP-5
