I'm headed to SHOT this year for the first time. I keep seeing posts referring to "khaki wearing ninjas" and the "khaki clad hordes" posted by presumed SHOT vendors. I admit to having a few pairs of khaki pants in my closet and until now, never worried about being sited by the fashion police. Since I certainly don't want to be spurned by said vendors and admittedly would like to be admitted to the "cool dudes only" sections of SHOT, what the hell do I wear???? Wranglers? Condo Commando Camo? Blazer & (non khaki) slacks or a 3 piece suit? Help!

Shot show business casual. Make sure you wear a thong underneath.

Hi,

Well it essentially boils down to why you are going to Shot Show....

Do you have a legitimate business reason to be going? If this is the reason...consider yourself going to a normal business meeting so dress to match.

Are you going just because a friend was able to get you in to see some cool shit? Just go with the norm and join the ninja hordes.

Sincerely,
Theis

Poor OP was probably looking for some serious feedback. Sorry. Seriously, dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes. It's a long weekend with a lot of walking, a lot. You'll be in Vegas, it would be some kind of sin to not stop somewhere and have a drink or 13 before going home each day so wear something your ok being anywhere in. I wore nice Jeans and a polo shirt but dont be the guy stumbling through the casino in a pair of 5.11s and a black polo with FBI, DEA, or POLICE across the back and wearing a too small coyote brown ballcap, nobody else wants to play with those guys.

I see two options.
The "Kingsman" Full bespoke suit. Wool, 6x2, Oxfords. Umbrella suggested but optional as it is the desert.
The "Gotti Jr." Adidas red track suit with superstars red stirpes to match. Supreme flat bill hat.
Musk up, as their are plenty of ladies working the booths.

They key piece of advice is to wear comfortable footwear. You will be on your feet all day. Also - take a bag / backpack that is mostly empty that you can fill with interesting paperwork and promo goodies as the day goes on.

+1 for the Tactikilt . It helps to every now and then bend your knees and with shoulders back clenched fists yell Oy MaaaGreyyGaaahhh ! I did this while watching the fight between McGregor and the Black guy . After the third time I was aaked to leave the casino , so I'm sure this will work .
Who says Bender's the smartest guy in the room ?

Don’t forget the sandbox tactical shemagh scarf with tribal weave. Then they will know you were a true operator and you’ll catch all of the honey!

Never been there..........If you aren't comfortable wearing a pair of jeans, boots, and a Carhart T shirt, just stay home.........Attire?

Hi,

The problem with that is from a business standpoint:

You are a dealer attempting to get a manufacturer to sell to you direct instead of having to go through distributor.
You are a dealer attempting to acquire a geographical region as said manufacturers ambassador.
You are a dealer trying to showcase to a manufacturer that you can market, sell and be their brand ambassador in said region.

Its just pure business professionalism and class that gets manufacturers to sign accounts with dealers, not if you can fit in at your local gun show.
As mentioned earlier...you either treat it as a real business meeting/negotiations (The REAL intention of the show to begin with) or get treated like a tool (What the show has become)......your choice.

Edited To Add: See the difference in picture below?

As a descendant of a highlands clan (note spelling creeky), dont wear a thong under a kilt. Pretty sure you are supposed to let your hairy toxic masculinity be free under there.
Why wouldnt you??

If you wear any type of underwear under a kilt you are wearing a skirt. Ive got like 8 of them

Depends. If you have nice legs. A short skirt is nice. Don’t forget the right belt and jewelry. Accessories make the outfit.

Its a mini version of the Tactical Olympics. I love seeing all the gear and beards. Even my buddy from Vortex said the real operators blend in and you'd never know who they are. Wear what's comfortable.
