Suppressors Shotgun suppressors

I’ve been out of the duck and goose hunting game for several years. A friend asked me today about shotgun suppressors. I know SiCo did make one, I don’t know if they still do? Does anyone have experience with shotgun suppressors?

You’re referencing the silencerco salvo. They still make it. I don’t think any of the main silencer companies make a shotgun can. Can’t speak for all the new silencer companies that pop up all the time.

I got to play with one 2 years ago. It's huge. Take a half gallon milk jug and tape it to your shot gun. That's about how big it is lol. Well, Not quite that big. Works the same as a rifle can, still pretty loud with super sonic loads, pretty quite with subs.

I didn't get to swing it around like I was water fowl hunting, so not sure if it's feasible for that. It would be cumbersome for turkey, but probably doable.

I know not much experience, hope it helps.

I do all of my shotgunning (dove, duck, geese, etc) with Remington VersaMax Tactical 22" barrel. I have the Salvo at 8" and it knocks the sound down enough that it doesn't bother me to go without ear plugs. It is big and heavy even at 8" on a relatively short barrel for bird hunting. I wouldn't run it at 12". That being said, I don't care to go out without it anymore. It just makes hunting that much more pleasant. FWIW I also have a sling on my shotgun. It's a big heavy beast if you do much walking. It also does not fit across the back seat of my Tacoma. I have to take the suppressor off. I can't imagine using one with a 26-28" barrel.

I have a salvo 12 on a ksg. I like it. I have some other adapters for r870 and m500 but have only ran it on the ksg. It’s not loud. I’d agree that it doesn’t bother me with out ear protection. With 2 3/4 ‘s.
