Ok guys, I have two badger M2008 actions coming.

I have been told that ionbonding them is the best way to loosen up the stiff bolt and slick the raceways up.

Should I Ionbond just the bolt? Or everything,(bolt and receiver)?

I am thinking if everything on the bolt is done, it might be perfect, but I don't know! Looking for advice.

It's about a $200 per difference.

I think gap nitrided mine I believe the whole action but I'm sure George could answer better then me. For state of mine I would do the whole thing

I had the whole thing done, to include bolt, receiver, barrel, base, rings, aluminum forend tube, and magazines. I went FDE with everything but the bolt. Daryl from Ionbond actually recommended the diamond black for the bolt. He states it's a slightly harder coating and has better lubricating qualities than the FDE. My action is smoooooooth.
