Night Vision Should I just put the tip in or go balls deep?

I live in Southwest Kansas. It's an area where I can see 15 miles each direction, humidity hovers between 30-50% on most nights. Nearest neighbor is 3 miles away, and I am surround by corn, milo, wheat during the summer months.

We have a coyote problem, and I want the coyotes to develop a human problem.

I am deciding between a Super Hogster or Halo LR. I am not a poor, but I also appreciate money. I need recognition as far as possible, and to make shots 300 and in, and if the extra cash will buy shots out to 500 I am not going to complain.

My very existence revolves around return. I own my own business, and if a tool or employee will return what it's/they are worth it's an automatic buy, no matter the cost.

When it comes to this stuff, I am a little out of my element. It's not as crystal clear. Will a Halo LR allow me at least twice the opportunites to execute a shots compared to the Super H, or is strictly a "this feels a lot better, but in the end it doesn't make a difference".

Will a hot, high maintence wife, which I pay twice as much in headaches, double the "joy" in bed compared to an average looking wife that will do the job, just with less polish?

Pretty much true on everything, if you don’t buy what you want to start with you will just think of what you want every time you look at it unil you give up and buy it anyway, the very reason I have a box of gun accessories and scopes in a box in the closet.

Halo man. I own one, never touched a hogster, but you should not be disappointed in a halo lr. My first coyote with mine was 300 yards.

Yes, the halo-Lr will let you shoot to 500, but to do that you’ll need a way to range the yote. (RAPTAR or Radius).

no, there definitely isn’t a direct correlation dollar for dollar (pay twice as much, drop twice as many yotes). I use a Halo Lr but I’d get 80% as many yotes with a Hogster. My terrain is mostly similar to yours.

If you're going to be very static, at the HALO-LR price, you'll be better served with a set of thermal binos w/ LRF + something like a PVS27 + an IR illuminator

Your workflow will look line:
- scan with thermal binos until you see a hot spot
- lase it for distance
- get on it with your rifle + pvs 27 + illuminator
- PID (if you weren't able to with the thermal)
- figure out your data for the distance and shoot

And just to dispel some myths brothers. Elite UAS is a one man OP. Lives at home with family (mom & dad and brothers) to help take care of the property. While I make an honest living at this point it wasn’t always all Gucci gang shit and guess what! I definitely don’t have spares on my desk as paperweights , there’s times where I struggle with bills just like everyone else. The fact of the matter is I have nice toys, and that’s about it. But I worked super hard to acquire them. So please, don’t label me rich. I’m not. And don’t label me as anything other then the go to guy for the best deal on quality products. Because at the end of the day, there’s times where I don’t make anything on deals to help others who are not in the most fortunate financial situation get the gear they need. Or because they are buddies and I refuse to make money off my real life friends. That’s who ELITEUAS is. Just an average dude .

Built & assembled are two different things. To my knowledge the parts are not made in America. Assembled maybe. But built, no way Jose.

I don’t want China to see a single cent of my money, whether directly or indirectly.

My employees are instructed to avoid Chinese-made product and tools, too. It’s a hard path to take at times but worth it.

He has taken care of my sphere of thermal-ers for years and his customer service contact is 100% amazing. As much as we all would love for our fancy gear to never have issues it can and that's from entry level to $8k.....how one goes about getting it resolved is the magic and that is where NVO is simply amazing.

I do not know where the parts come from to make the Hogster Line but they are produced by Bering Optics in Irving Texas.

PS. I have a Super Hogster and the largest Trijicon Reap for longer distances. Both have their pros and cons and a combination of both would be heavenly. I prefer the Reap for 300yd shots but it costs twice as much and also weighs twice as much as the Super Hogster. For most hunters I would guess the Hogster is more than enough.

If the unit has electronics, it's hard to avoid Chinese parts because most of the resisters, capacitors, and chips are made in China. Because most of the components are made in China, most of the PCB's are also made in China to reduce export costs.

Halo is an awesome optic and I have zero complaints with mine. I killed a coyote with it at 502yd last Friday. The fact it has a true mil reticle is a deal seal for me as a precision rifle shooter so that may hold some value for you in your AO
