As I understand, the actual manufacturer of the PSA branded uppers and lowers is Anderson and they make lowers and uppers for a lot of different companies. I see no reason to be concerned. You can build a complete PSA AR for what, $400 to $450 ? Jeez, I just looked at HK MR 556's for giggles......$2,500.00'ish. That's at least 5 PSA AR's. The HK is a cool piece, but the pencil ran out of lead in a hurry when trying to justify sinking that much money into one rifle.

I have seen them at E-Arms for as low as $56.00 each.
Personally, I can't see spending exorbitant amounts of money on all the high speed/low drag expensive Do-Dads. I just want a utilitarian rifle. I wouldn't baby it, nor would I abuse it. I'm pretty confident it would hold up just fine over time.
Anderson lowers are less than $50 (OTD) in our little shop by the Sheriff's office.
You would need to buy a pile of PSA lowers to get them any cheaper.

NO NO NO lol. Not $450. $280 when they were in sale. Now $310.
One $2500 HK = 8 PSA ARs. I would rather have 8 armed friends and family if SHTF v 1 OAF rifle.
I run PSA uppers on a M16 and other rifles and have had zero failures. I run high dollar stuff for my precision/long range ARs
But what if you could have a HK MR556 and then a spare HK MR556 then a HK MR762 and then also have a pile of other ARs for friends and family, leaving in the woods etc.?
I mean if you are going to mount a $5k thermal scope to your AR, you might as well do it to one that is OAF?

Secondly, I understand branding, contract values, and profit margins. However, high speed units choose these rifles for a reason. You’re talking about SHTF...I would rather have an HK that’s going to hell and back with me because SHTF is going to hell.
I used to instruct carbine courses and saw students cheaper rifles fail during classes. That’s a controlled environment; your rifle didn’t stay out in the cold/wet all night and then have to perform all day. It came from a safe, to a gun case, and then to the range.
The only acceptable reason for buying low grade is if you can’t afford an HK OR 8 PSA rifles. If you can buy 8 PSA and choose them over HK, KAC, LWRC...you’re just ignorant.

My experience with my buddy’s $3K MR762 was a finicky rifle with expensive $100 plastic magazines that cracked and HK told him to pound sand. I don’t think that PSA rifles are the end all be all, but I also don’t think the HK rifles are better than other top tier brands costing far less.
Most of my AR platform rifles are Stag Arms, they are the best at supporting the left handed platform. I’ve got several factory built rifles and even more that I’ve assembled from parts as SBR’s, I don’t have failures and would trust any of them for SHTF. Most of the time I could buy/build 3-5 for the cost of a single HK.

Aero is good to go. What people don’t realize is that, like many things, there are only a handful of companies that actually make AR lowers, barrels and so on. Well, more than a few but each company that sells AR stuff isn’t making their own lowers, they are getting them from somewhere else and rebranding them. AR lowers have gotten so standardized and good now thatyou might as well pick your flavor. With that said, I do not recommend those polymer aluminum hybrid deals. Stay away from complete polymer lowers. Anderson is ok, Aero is ok, PSA is ok, Spikes Tactical etc. all will be fine. Pick good components for your upper. Hell uppers are so cheap I probably wouldn’t even build one, I’d just build the lower and strap a completed upper on and rock and roll.
There is neither a structural nor metallurgic difference between a KAC/LWRC/MuhMilContractz lower vs a PSA or Anderson. T6 is T6, mil-spec is mil-spec, and anodizing is anodizing.
Most of the reason those mil contract guns "never fail" is because they overgas the shit out of them to the point of absurdity.

If it’s forged, a lower is a lower. Only a certain number of people actually making them. Most are rebranded and sold under a different name.
The same people who “stockpile” PSA and Anderson lowers are the same tards who bought all the shitty 22lr ammo and tried selling it at 10x the price at gun shows during the so called ammo shortage and ended up with a bunch of shit they couldn’t sell. Buy um cheap.
