Show me your range bag

Tac Force small range bag. Bought it at Jensen's in Loveland. They have a good selection of bags...

Re: Show me your range bag

That's no joke. I didn't think the damn thing was that big when I ordered mine. Holds more than most would need.

Also have an Uncle Mike's in OD Green which looks similar to the Tac Force above for those light range trips or USPSA/IPSC Matches where I don't

Re: Show me your range bag

i have a uncle mikes and it holds everything i even pack a lunch in there sometimes when i head to the range withall my gear in there

Re: Show me your range bag

I have the large "Range Ready" 5.11 Bag:

The one pictured above in not mine, but a promo shot on the web. It does a good job of illustrating what you get. The thing that attracted me to it was the inner "pull out" smaller pistol bag. You can easily fit two pistols (in zippered, padded side pockets) and plenty of ammo and some muffs in it for a short trip. The large bag can handle just about anything you want to carry, including large magazines for AR15's etc.

My only complaint about its size is, well, it's SIZE. It's so big that, fully loaded, you need a backhoe to lift it. I find I don't use the full bag unless I'm really going all out.

Same here.. got it this year and it is great for when I take multiple setups with me (2-4 handguns, 1-2 long guns). Holds everything very well (except long guns). I really like the spent brass bag that comes with it.. no more just throwing them in the bottom of the bag. Good setup for $50.

Re: Show me your range bag

Brother Slickrick and I have each have a shooting mat and double rifle case from Midway. It is probably not the heaviest duty stuff around, but neither are my brother and me. Works great for what we use it for.

Might have to look at the rangebags. Now, I use some soft toolbags that work well.

I also have a Midway Bag, I liked it so much I had to order one for my father.

For 39.99 you really cannot beat it. It has every feature all the other offerings have and for the fraction of the cost.

Re: Show me your range bag

I have 2 range bags.

The original but most copied bag - Shooters Connection Tournament - the best.

And

The 511 - a Shooters Connection clone. Don't load this bag to the tits and try to use the shoulder strap, the ring tabs WILL break away. They do not go around to the other side but are just stitched into the top sides.

Re: Show me your range bag

I have a Dillon that carried all my pistol competition stuff. My wife gave it to me as a gift before we had kids.

When I am doing rifle stuff I generally throw everything into an old Craftsman tool bag I have left over from one of their cordless tool sets.

It's so tactical it makes everyone jealous.

That's my philosophy- grab a durable bag and fill it up. Some of the designated range bags have a lot of compartments that I don't need and aren't big enough for the ammo and other kit I take along.

By the way, who first coined the term "kit" when talking about shooting gear?

Re: Show me your range bag

id like to get the range bag that blackhawk used to make with the built-in gun rest, if any has one that they dont need please let me know

I got this bag about a year and a half ago and loved it. My best friend even bought one. Mine has been loaded and used quite a bit. But the stitching on two of the corners has already started to come undone. I have taken it to the range at least 30 times loaded to the tilt. I called Midway and they said they only carry a 1yr warranty.

I am a buy once cry once guy. Its not much only $40 but i could have put that towards something better with a lifetime warranty. Hence, i have another thread here looking for best warranty and Eagle has come up a couple of times.
