Ok the first day is over. It was a HOT day. A GREAT match so far. A few people in our group our shooting well. Fixing to go out and have dinner with a group of shooter. Here are a few photos.

Great match!! Despite probably getting melanoma on the 1000yd range I had a great time. Much thanks to Rich and all the RO's that put this together and had it running smoothly. There was very little down time between stages. Would also like to thank Long Range Alley for hosting the match.
Congrats to T.C. for a well deserved 1st place. It baffles me how one person can build the best rifles available and also have room in his brain to drive them perfectly. Although I was worried that he might break a hip on a few of the courses, he was able to shoot great and make it look easy.
It was great to meet some new shooters and hang out with some familiar ones. I plan on coming back next year!

Where to begin?
First off, thank you to Rich for putting on the best match I've ever been to. The amount of time and work that went into putting this on was evident at every turn, and thank you so much for all your efforts. It was an awesome match with lots of new stuff. I loved clearing rooms in the killhouse, that was new for me. I also loved everything about all the assault deck stages....that whole area rocked! I hated it to learn on the egg stage that I could hit an egg at 300y prone off a bipod, but couldn't hit one kneeling at 25 yards....damn I stink at positional shooting!
Also, thanks to the RO's for working their butts off and helping keep us safe.
Thank you also to all of the sponsors that donated great prizes and thank you to Rich and Casey and everyone who worked to hustle up the prizes for us. I still can't believe that at 15th place I still left with nearly $600 in prizes! Thank you to all the competitors as well for making it such a fun match. That was a lot of fun on Saturday night at Superior Bar and Grill to see 30+ shooters get together for supper and drinks. Eddy, Matt, and Jim from Oklahoma have a one-liner or quick comeback for everything! Those guys are a hoot, and damn good shooters. Congratulation to all the top shooters, you guys deserve recognition. Those were some tough stages and some of you did inhumanly well. Terry, Matt, and Jason should be very proud of the way they shot on such a challenging course.
Thank you also to Long Range Alley for hosting us...what an amazing place to have a match. I can't wait until the next one and I think the idea of having an annual Sept. 11th sniper match is a great idea.
Lastly, congratulations to my good friend Rob (SH= Sleeper). Ten months ago this match was his first precision rifle match ever. This year he took 8th place...damn he's gotten good real quick!

As far as stages went it was excellent! almost no down time with fun yet challenging stages for the whole match, as lucks posted I also sucked BAD at positional shooting. the kill house was a new twist and fun to run, definitely need a sling on the rifle though!
This match was my first time shooting my custom AR-15 past 400 yards and I got 2 out of 4 hits on a 16" IPSC hanger at 800 Yards! And 1 unconfirmed hit at 1000. (all the RO's bailed for lunch and left me out there! LOL) I learned so much about my own shooting and learned a lot as an RO observing all the excellent shooters who competed in the match!
I want to congratulate all shooters and RO's for their good shooting and wish you guys good luck for any matches this year, and I hope to see you guy next year!

Guys, first off I hope you had fun and were challenged, That was the goal! You guys in the Top TEN or so were amazing shooting over 50% in this match was a feat in itself.
I think there was 22 stages a 2280 available points,
Only the Top Six(Terry Cross, Matt Tederman, Jason Christian, Tim Long, Patrick Morris and John Sommers broke 60% with Terry edging out a 64%, It was very close and fun to watch all you guys battle it out, I'm still amazed at some of the shooting I got to witness, like John shooting the 6 Green targets from 200-450 yds in the speed shoot in under 15 seconds (with a bolt gun, and 3 or 4 of you guys Hit all Three eggs, and Brandon Finley hitting 4 out 5, 1/4" smileys on the triangle paper stage.
Truly some great shooting and great sportsmanship throughout the whole match. I appreciate everybody that was a part of it.
I hope you guys enjoyed it I wish i could have done a better job in the end getting you guys scored right the first time i was simply exhausted and needed more help. Lesson learned!

Cold bore on steel target at unknown distance mil it and then shoot(600-700ish yards?)
Stage 2
Steel hostage flapper at 400y
Stage 3
4+1 bonus steel targets at unknown distance, mil then shoot. (300-600ish yards)
Stage 4
606y know your limit on steel
Stage 5
5 prairie dog targets for fastest time (250-350ish yards?)
Stage 6
500y mover, most hits you can get in two passes
Stage 7
Positional
100y standing, 200y kneeling, 300y sitting, 400y prone unsupported, 500y prone
Stage 8
Obstacle course, shooting at 600y steel target
Shoot off barrel, shoot off wall (strong side/weak side), shoot off rooftop (strong side/weak side), shoot off tractor tire, shoot through row of tires
Also at end can shoot at a bonus 1" shoot'n see at 200y
Stage 9
800 yard steel, small and smaller steel
4 shots
Stage 10
1000 yards steel, small and smaller steel

100 yards paper, 5 shots each at sexy women, hostages, triangles, shoot'n see.

Enter house find playing card on wall, clear 4 rooms with pistol, don't shoot hostages! Leave back of house, run up hill, shoot your card with rifle plus two more steel targets with pistol. Faster time= more points

4+1 bonus steel, random distances (430-500ish yards)

Two gun, run-n-gun
7 steels with pistol, 4 steels with rifle (150-250 yards) about 150 yards of running, 90 seconds total allowed

6 steel targets 200-450y, faster time = more points

OK, it's official, I am 90% recovered, although walking outside today after noon brought back the pain! FYI no chiggers.
Rich, Lauren and the great RO staff....you guys rocked! Thanks for taking on the burden of organizing something of this magnitude. Rich, thanks again for the call, I couldn't say no and regret waiting to decide to come until Friday night. Had I decided sooner, who knows I might have trained a little?
The match as stated earlier had NO real down time. The few individual events were welcomed breaks to hydrate and use a buddy for rotating shade! Time limits on events were short, but could be done. The old hold outs (like myself) had to work a little harder with no 10 round mags to keep up on the speed stuff, but I love a challenge. Initially I thought Rich had been drinking peyote tea after a few of the stage briefings! The variety in ranges, mostly mid range 400-600 was nice. Many competitions focus on a lot of short or long range with little mid range mixed in. We had shooting from 25 or 33 yards to 1000 with rifles. The match ran according to the flyer/briefing and few problems occured. Incuding the score verification was a pain I am sure, but Rich made sure it was accurate.
I was either really tired, delirious, confused or just horny because I think I liked the sexy girls event a <span style="font-weight: bold">tad</span> to much.
Tradition was alive and well, as usual I zeroed both KYL events......I know my limits, don't shoot KYL.
Congratulations to Terry (my hero) and the top 10. You guys really pushed the envelope. The fighting to stay in position was critical to the end and my hat is off to all of you.
It was great to catch up with old friends, and I was glad to see many of you. Sponsors really put it out there for the match. There was no shortage on the prize table! Thanks to each and every one of them.

I would like to say thank you to Long Range Alley for allowing the match to be held there. Also a big thanks to Rich and all the RO's for putting on a smooth, challenging, well thought out match, I can't imagine all the time that went into planning, preparation, and execution of a match of this size. I know that I and the rest of the crew from Nebraska had a great time. It was a pleasure to shoot with everyone in the charlie company. Lastly, Thank you to all the sponsors who donated to the match, it was a very generous prize table.

and they all helped me out. Also had my first hits past 650yds, score on 800 and 1000!

Rich,
I should have posted before now. Seems like we just finished yesterday. I had several fires to put out at the shop as soon as I got back and it just sucked my whole week away. All my gear is still in a pile just inside the door.
Rich designed a very demanding course of fire for us to screw up. It was not only demanding for the competitors but also for Rich and his entire crew. From Lauren on down, it was very hard work to keep all of the shooters on task and safe. The heat was very unusual for this time of year. Several competitors including myself were very close to some heat injuries. LRA and Rich’s staff kept water coming to the ice chests and made sure everybody was as well hydrated as possible. Thank you for all of your hard work.
The events challenged everyone. Small targets and tight time limits were made even more challenging by the mirage and heat.
It was really nice to get out of the shop and almost die for the weekend. Kevin and I got to see some of our friends that came from afar and also got to meet a lot of new shooters. I appreciate all of the Charlie and Delta shooters making the 2 days in the sun bearable and fun. I want to acknowledge that this match drew several full time L.E. snipers as well as at least 2 Army participants. My hat is off to those guys for jumping into the fray. I guarantee that you are all more capable and mission ready than if you had not attended. Go shove it in the faces of your colleagues and make them attend one of these.
I had my usual “zero” scores on a couple of events and again, as usual anything past 600 yards was pretty much safe from my hot millimeters of death. There were a bunch of very good shooters that made the trip to compete. Not knowing the ranking of how everyone was doing, I was just hoping to be in their pack somewhere. It was very much an honor to find out that I made just a couple less mistakes than some of those guys to edge them out in points.
Sincere congratulations to Matt Tederman and Jason Christian. Those two along with Tim Long and John Sommers of the Oklahoma Mafia were all right there. To hang with these awesome guys was a surprise.
A huge THANK YOU to Preston Pritchett and Stephen Barrier. They provided a custom built Scalpel in 6.5 Creedmoor that I was very fortunate to receive. They, along with a huge number of sponsors allowed everyone to get a very nice prize and legitimized this competition as a major and well received event. Very cool. Thank you to all.
Kevin, thanks for meeting me downtown at freakin 05:00 both days so I wouldn’t have to make the trip alone. Glad you rode with me and very glad you were in my squad.
