Gunsmithing shrewd muzzle brakes?

has anyone got any experience with shrewd muzzle brakes? I did a search and no reviews. this is the brand my local smith uses and since I don't have a lathe capable of threading barrels this is his suggestion...

ive put a couple on 2 guns I built no coplaints good fit and finish for the price

They work , not as well as alot of others , Personaly I'd spend the extra $30-$40 on a better baffel style like the Badger Thruster , APA little bastard , the "Muscle" break from Jim See.

If you must have it full ported cause the smith can't index the thing on so its strait then go with a Vais.

Actualy , the the smith can't index it then find another smith

If you shoot prone you will want a closed bottom.

I've got one on my .308 Rem. It seems to work O.K., but then It's the first one I've used so it's hard to compare to anything.

I have installed and used 4 of them. Great for a hunting rifle. They do throw dirt in your face if you are prone.
