we are still a go if the weather holds. i will be there the 14th setting up. we will meet at 9am and start shooting by 930ish. i will be sending out a email this weekend with directions.
round count is around 75 we will be shooting all posisitions, ukd, barracades, distances from 50-1050yds and the timing will be fairly strict so be ready to rock.

For what it is worth, Tri-county gun club in Sherwood, Or will be having a precision rifle match on 12 Feb 2011. Contact [email protected] for info about certification for new shooters at the match. I don't know if he will grandfather in experienced shooters or not, but it won't hurt to ask. 30-06 and similar cartridges are the upper power level allowed in order to prevent damage to the steel. Only non-magnetic bullets are allowed. All ammo will be checked with a magnet, prior to each stage, and even possession of magnetic ammo is a match DQ.
They have had people assure them that they were using non magnetic ammo, and after the matches, have a found quite a bit of damage to the targets, so now they check everyone's ammo...even the match directors...

if this is the same one scott and i attended last year , it is a little different than some . total rounds fired was 24 . longest range was under 500 yds.also very strick on a # of range rules . maybe this year there will be some changes .

I promise this is one of the best possible steel matches you can go to, you will not regret making the trip. whoever you choose make sure it is someone you communicate well with because it is a very challenging course and a good spotter will help significantly.

I sent out a email with match details for next weekend. if you didn't get it send me a pm and i will give you all the details. After finishing up the course of fire i am really excited about it. it will be very fun and challenging.

What do you mean snow in Ellensburg. I have an inch @ my house allready. Besides. Deep snow will just mean your prone position will need a taller bipod.

I'm actually heading to the wet side to shoot in an IDPA match so I won't be attending this one. You're correct in that we're trying to get all our ducks in a row and projects finished up so we can head to SHOT as well.
