Gunsmithing Side bolt release on remington 600?

Is it possible for one of the GAP style bolt releases to be installed/machined on a remington 600?

I was hoping someone here knew the answer or had done it themselves.

If not I will just shoot them a email, they have always answered questions quickly before.

Yes it can be done. While not a M600 and not a GAP release, here is a pic of a Phoenix Machine release I installed on the 600's close cousin - an XP-100. I imagine the GAP release is similar in function although a bit trimmer in design. SR

If I am right the xp100 action was pretty much identical.

Very nice work....The GAP side bolt release is actually made by Defiance Machine (formerly Phoenix), so the installation is the same....
