The Sierra Precision Grip is probably my favorite grip for a precision AR but one of the drawbacks is that the inside of the grip is hollow and it's weirdly shaped so there were really no options for storage. I decided to do something about that so I brainstormed some ideas and what I came up with was to cannibalize a grip that did have storage and figure out a way to graft that on to the SPR grip.

I had a Magpul K2 XL that I ended up not really liking much so it became the sacrifice for this project so I started hacking and basically left myself with this relatively small portion, basically the latch recess and "strut guide".

The remainder piece was still too wide to fit so I had to whittle it down and hog out some of the interior of the SPR grip using everyone's favorite tool, a Dremel.

Once I got it to the point the door was flush with the bottom I held it in place with a couple dots of super glue so I could prep it for epoxy.

I'll need to clean up the excess tomorrow so it's flush with the bottom and maybe splash it with some paint for touch up.

Once I sand on it later tonight and ease the edges it'll blend in pretty good I think. The K2 XL that I bought came with the lube bottle grip core but I removed that and a made a foam insert to go in its place to hold some optic tools and stuff without rattling around. It looks like there's a big gap in the front but it's not that bad because of the interior contours of the grip. If I get to feeling a certain way about it I may seal it up with some JBW.

You know I posted this on Reddit too and I didn't even get that question...I was somewhat disappointed. The answer is I don't know, I don't eat Skittles, now I can crush some M&M's and based on that experience I'd have to think I can get at least at good handful of M&M's in there or two Snickers minis.
Skittles go in left breast pocket with ID Card. M&M’s is the correct answer but they have to be the old chocolate dust covered ones out of an MRE.

Whipping out a little Snickers from the grip of your rifle, when your range buddy is bitching about his gun malfing would be pretty damned funny.
