I been running a Sig 226 for 10 years now and like the gun alot.I was wondering if anyone is running a 226 Legion and if so,How do you like it.

I absolutely love mine. All the small upgrades they did on the legion make it worth the extra couple hundred bucks for me personally. The sights, finish, and small slide catch were worth the extra money themselves. I had a bad habit of riding the slide catch on my standard 226 causing the slide to not always lock back on an empty mag. Not so on the legion since they used the small slide catch from the 224. My standard also had issues with the finish chipping on the frame. The legion is supposed to have a better/stronger finish so no issues there. I also run Trijicon HD sights on my other handguns so I feel right at home with the legion sites. None of these make me a better shooter, but I spend more time enjoying my shooting rather than trying to train myself out of something that is unique to the sig platform.

I've been using one for about 2-3 months and am very happy with the purchase. I have no prior experience with other 226's and was looking for one on recommendations from others. I tried a few models, a Mk25, Tacops and Extreme Full size. The Legion grips felt better and I liked the smaller slide catch. I have the DA/SA model and have no issues at all with it. I have probably put close to 1500 rounds through it. The slide release was very tight at first, after 700+ rounds it loosened up just a bit.

I have one and absolutely love it. I dropped in a Sig factory threaded barrel and use it as a suppressor host.

The trigger reset on it is absolutely phenomenal... better, even, than my Cajun Gunworks CZ75. Absolutely two thumbs up from me for the Legion.

Well i went to the toy store yesterday and handled a 226 Legion.I was impressed,It is now on my wish list. Thanks again for all the input.

If you like the original 226, im sure you'll like the legion. Supposedly a higher grip, improved trigger, as others mentioned some other small upgrades. They all make a very nice addition to an already rock solid firearm. My father is a certified sig armorer and he swears by the 226, and the legion.

Shot a 226 legion last month that a buddy owns. I was quite impressed. Felt very good in the hand and this is coming from a CZ and 1911 guy. I was on the hunt for one for a weak or two but then I came to my smarts and realized I didn't need another platform. I'll stick with my CZs but the Legion still has a spot in my heart

The Legion P-226 is a great handgun. It's a great upgrade from the standard P-226 which is also a great gun. Better checkering on the front strap, better night sights, best trigger reset then any other SIG I have had. The beaver tail size is in between the standard beaver tail and the one on the Elite. I like the way the front sight grabs your eye in day time light.

I have the SA/DA and love the ergonomics and feel of the gun. I'm not as accurate with it as I am with my CZ's, Walthers and HK's but I think its me, I don't shoot it as much as the others.

I have never had a Sig and for the last couple months when I have had the time I have been going to all the local gun stores. I started looking at the Legion at a few places that had them. All I have handled have been SA/DA. I handled the 4.4 inch 226 and fell in love with it. Their is just nothing I do not like about these. I had been looking at many brands checking the triggers and reset on them. I have to say on the Sig Legion the trigger is just plain bad ass compared to any others I played with. Made a unplanned trip to a gun store that I had not been to in a long time and they had several of the 226 models and had the SAO model and SA/DA model both in 4.4 inch barrels. They had 1 more SAO in the box besides the one I was fingering. Well.........I put a deposit down on the SAO because I did not have all the cash to take it home. I will be back their Tuesday at 9 when they open up to take it home with me. I did run into 1 delima while I was their. They had the same but in a 10mm 5 inch barrel. All I can say it was pure bad ass checking it out. If I did not have a couple irons in the fire with a rifle build going on I would be taking it home also with me. For any one out their that does have a 10mm Legion what is your opinion on it? The 10mm Legion was about 500.00 more than the Legion 4.4 SAO that I will be picking up in 9mm.

The SIG Legion P226 SAO was my first SIG postal i ever owned, and without a doubt will never leave my Stable. Second to that is my Springfield Armory TRP, both have thousands of rounds to them and as far as I can tell they are only better.

Glad to see these are well regarded. Been on my "must buy" list since shooting one a few months ago. Really a very easy gun to shoot well.
