Having a hard time deciding between the two handguns. This a best all around 9mm comparison. Like if you could only have one 9mm in your collection which would it be, so if neither please state your case. It seems like Sigs have a good rep, and it will see mostly range time anyways, I'm comparing the 226's. I hear the factory mags aren't all that, so I don't know if the 4 20 round mags the TacOps comes with are worth that much. And I don't know if I want DA/SA vs. SAO?? From reviews I heard and from holding an X5 and dry firing they have one spectacular trigger compared to a glock or XDM. I really cant decide. I priced them out and it looks like as the panic stands. For a TacOps w/ 4 factory 20 rounders with a threaded barrel is about 1400 and an X5 tactical w/ 2 factory 15 rounders, threaded barrel, night sights, and 4 Mec-Gar 20 round mags is about 2200.

No input guys?
Which trigger do you like? The X5 has a better trigger if you are not used to DA/SA but once you get used to it I think it is fine. Would you ever shoot IDPA with it? The TacOps will fit in the box the X5 will not. The short reset is hard to beat. I would have a hard time dropping $2200 in a pistol like the X5 though. I would go with the TacOps before spending that much. Once you get into a gun the size of the X5 and at that cost I think it would be better to get a custom built competition gun. Just my honest opinion.

I would go for the X5 just for the SAO trigger alone. I had a 229 e2 for a couple months and it was a fantastic gun except for the DA/SA trigger. However, that's just my personal preference. I ultimately ended up with an STI 1911 in 9mm because that's just what I enjoy shooting most.
