all over
A buddy sent this to me, I didnt realize Sig came out with a black edition, and pending on where you find them in stock, are about $300 cheaper. Anyone have any intel on this version? sok31004 is advertised but Im unable to find that part number under Sigs website and they only have the Green, $1300 versions listed on their site.. Im a little skeptical for a Kilo 3000BDX for around $800 new bc they are black edition

well I ordered them from the website I posted.. ill report back anything fishy. I googled the site and a number of gun boards like ours here reported no issue and legit place to buy from. and a smoking deal to boot.

Buy with confidence. My Kilo 3000’s went down, I called Sig and they sent out a prepaid shipping label. Sent them back and less than a week I got a brand new pair. The rangefinder is way faster compared to my old Leica 2200’s

I think it’s a good sign that midway has the black edition for 899. Hopefully it works out! I found the black edition at centerfireguns.com for 820 but have been hesitant to order to see how yours panned out.

Just ordered a set from https://www.themodernsportsmanonline.com/products/optics-sig-sauer-sok31004-798681637935-2954 Order Confirmed but not shipping yet. I was curious to see what the difference was between the Green and Black. The only thing I can see so far is they have slightly different user software in them. Green has 25 profiles and the Black only has 8. I might be wrong but that's the only thing that stands out and makes them different, they both use the same lasers and every other spec listed is identical.

arrived today. installed the battery and my outdoorsman mount and ran some ranges across the road. the computer is really fast at constant ranging. havnt paired or played with the bluetooth to the kestrel or my hud yet ill do that tomorrow.

they are pretty heavy but the glass is pretty nice. probably a touch better than my diamondbacks

You can have up to 25 profiles on the app, but you can only have one active profile loaded to the Kilo3000 at one time no matter what color they are. If you want to change the active profile on the Kilo3000 you have to use your phone.

Gotta mean there is a refresh coming out next year, right?
Maybe not a software refresh, but hopefully some better glass and fix the freaking diopters.

whats wrong with the diopters???
In the earlier production models they used to move way to easy people were coming up with home fixes by adding Orings under the rubber grip to help stiffen them. I think that problem has been solved. On these new black ones I would definitely think it has. It really didn't / doesn't bother me that much after I got them set I just used a sharipe and put a couple witness marks where they were so if they did get moved I could very quickly just move them back. For some people it was a deal breaker not for me I love these damn things best piece of hunting gear I bought in a long time.

I jumped on this deal last week. Mine showed up today as well. No issues at all. Diopters are super tight and I live at altitude. (Denver metro). They connected right up to the kestrel and can range across the living room reliably in all light conditions. Looking forward to trying them out in the real world.

Locking diopters or no go for me. Simple upgrade. I can’t imaging hunting with these until they fix that major oversight.

I just twisted mine and both have click detents. I havnt a clue what your referring to in regards to the diopters moving on their own. I was at my dealer a few weeks ago fiddle fuckin the green pair he just got in to see if I even wanted these things and his set the diopters didnt move either.

so I got these paired up with my phone and updated a firmware load, then paired to my kestrel elite and im ranging shit all up and down the road and the dope changes on my elite and displays in the screen in the binos

these are tits-magee for sure.
So when your rangefinder turns off do the binos disconnect from the kestrel? If so, when you turn them back on do they reconnect without having to press anything on the kestrel? My thought is if the kestrel is on a tripod with and wind vain 10-20 feet away from me will I have any problems staying connected or at least easily reconnecting the two together without having to walk over to the kestrel and press buttons. Thanks

ok so I think I understand your question. ... but to be sure. the binos ARE the rangefinder so if your using them and ranging they are on. but I tested this anyway. I let the binos time out and shut off and the kestrel stayed on, and then I woke up the binos and it reconnected automatically and started working again pretty seamlessly.

hope that helps

I’d like to see some larger offerings, 10x50 would be dope

Exactly what I was interested in. Thanks!
I assumed the bino’s range finder computer “times out” at some point. Didn’t know if it was motion activated to come back on/stay on or when you hit the “range” button it fires back up like a lot of LRF.

Looks like these go for low $700s on some Gun Deals websites. Wondering if I should pull the trigger. I canceled a recent order for the green ones a few weeks back, which appears to be the right choice.

These things are worth the full price IMO for $700 absolutely. I have not seen them that low can you provide a link?
