Anyone else disappointed with the Sig P226 basepads? I have about a dozen Beretta M9 mags I was putting new Beretta replacement basepads on ($5 direct from Beretta). The beretta pads are hard plastic with steel lips ... good stuff from what I have seen so far. The stock Sig basepads I got with the 2 mags with the pistol were steel and 2 other Sig mags I got from Midway have the same steel basepad but with a ~1/8" rubber cover on the bottom (improvement, but still doesn't seem very durable. I tried the Beretta basepad on the Sig mag and though a little tight ... they fit well, lock in place and feel better on the pistol. No effect on function as of yet and more on durability, but they sure do work pretty well so far.
