The Outdoorsmans mount/stud system is definitely the best quality mount on the market hands down.
I also have the Sig Kilo3000 BDX's and just went through what your going through.
With Outdoorsmans being somewhat local to me (in the same state) and not being adverse to a drive, I dropped in on them to have them hook me up with the correct set-up for my binos.
They have two heights/sizes, short and tall and numerous studs to fit different bino brands. We played around with each size and determined after mounting each of them to a tripod, that the tall size allowed the critical room needed to properly adjust the binos.
With the stud properly installed on the binos and the set screw secured (VERY IMPORTANT SO AS NOT TO LOSE THE STUD) the binos are then slid into the mount until they lock into the spring attenuated lever. Once attached to the stud and the push release top cap on the mount is tightened down, the binos cannot accidentally come off the mount as with the Swarovski flip lever mount. Other mounts just hand tighten and can loosen allowing the binos to dislodge from the mount and fall to the ground. Just see how that makes you feel when you're running a stage with your $1000+ tripod mounted binos secured to your pack and they come off and hit the ground.......Sonofabitch!
For the Sig 3000's the Swarovski stud fit the best. I bought two of them so I had a back up just in case. I also purchased their ARCA SWISS rail piece.
Joe is the guy that hooked me up and was very knowledgeable about the mounts and fitting my binos with the proper mount stud. I'm glad I made the trip to see them out in person. I was extremely satisfied with the customer service and Joe and I even talked a little Havelina hunting which he was heading out to do the next day. Guys this is a "specialty" shop with very high end hunting/shooting/optics equipment and NOT a sporting goods store. This was not some $11 an hour Big 5 counter guru experience. They talk the talk and walk the walk.
As a side note, Gray Ops CNC also has an interesting base plate made for the Outdoorsmans bino mount, it's called the Outdoorsmans Arca Adapter. It has two built in studs on the plate that lock into the riser mount to keep the mount from rotating when secured to the plate. I'll be ordering one to check it out.
