Clicks feel pretty mushy. Especially when fine tuning and doing one or two clicks. Almost cant even feel them.

Also when lifting the turret out of the locking position to adjust, the turret is wobbly. Thought I maybe didnt have the turret lined up correct or set screws too loose. However after taking the turret off the whole assembly wobbles. So I made sure the allen screw was tight and it was.

Called Sig and customer service guy was nice but pretty much said the mushy clicks were a known issue and then pulled out a scope to see if the turret was wobbly when in the up adjust position and his was too.

Regret not spending a few hundred more and getting a NF Atacr.

Anyone else have any issues with their Sig Tango 6?

Eh, I just checked mine, and while the clicks certainly aren't the sharpest in the world, they're functional. On my scope, anyhow, I'd be unlikely to miss them unless I was wearing ski gloves or something.

The few that I’ve messed with were usually pretty secure, though you could induce the “wobble” if you wrenched on it hard enough. I saw it both with and without the turret installed, but as stated above, I don’t think it’s really a problem so much as an annoyance.

I believe that it could also related to the ‘lash’ between clicks, where you end up on or between one of the detents and it’s difficult to tell which hash mark you’re actually on.

Certainly sounds pretty normal, and realistically I would probably just go and shoot it. If it’s not any hindrance to you while shooting, make sure it tracks and forget about it.

Agreed. Guess in my head I was expecting a little more out of a $2500 scope. Anyways to help with being in between hashes, when i set the zero I set it in between the 0 hash and the -.1mil hash that way when up and adjusting it lands on the hashes better

Mushy....
Remove the rubber washer (o ring) in the turret and grease. They become much more tactile.
I can second this. Just tried it on my 4-24 Tango6. Used Imperial Die Wax [edited for correct name] (metal tin for resizing brass).

I lubed the inside of turret cap, large o-ring, the small black o-ring on the silver screw under turret that holds black locking mechanism. Tough to describe but it's the part that you remove to access the zerostop.

Surprisingly, clicks we're MUCH louder and more tactile. Probably the dry o-rings damping feel of clicks and dragging rather than sliding.

What kind of grease do you use?

Edited for correct name: Imperial Die Wax by Redding It's thin and slippery.

I've got a couple of these and they are great scopes. I really like all the features. The turrets are not the most distinct but are good enough and track true - I would compare mine to the old NXS scopes.

You might push the issue with Sig and send it for repair/replacement if the amount of slack in the turrets seems unreasonable...

I have a 4-24 Tango 6 and love it. I did grease the turret o rings as stated above which made the clicks much more distinct but other than that it is a great optic. Turrets are nice and solid, locking features work as they should and glass is sharp and clear. Maybe it is just the 5-30 with the issues.

I just tried this out as well and it worked great. I didn’t have imperial so I used unique case lube and it worked fine. I assume there is not a huge difference between the two. Glade I stumbled upon this thread. My only complaint on the tango6 was the soft turret clicks and now that seems to be gone!

I just did this on my 5-30, and it seems to help. My O-rings were greased with some fairly thick (I would guess) silicone grease initially, and the Unique case lube that I used in its place is considerably thinner. We'll see how it lasts.
