I received a call today from the North Eastern Sightron rep about us becoming a dealer. From what he sent to me they offer a wide variety of Riflescopes and they are made in Japan and the Philippines (which I was happy to hear). Not being familiar with their offerings I figured I put a post out and read the feedback from all of you.

So, God? Bad? So so me too product? Worth becoming a dealer?

Please chime in and let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks in advance

I think they are very good glass for the cost. Not as rugged or feature rich as some, but very good glass compared to similar prices offerings.

I have a 10-50x60 that I use for target work on a .223. We call that rifle Bees Knees, because at 100 yards, watching Bees buzz around the target, we could literally make out the Knees on Bees.

Very happy with both of my Sightron scopes, one an SIII 6-24x50 and the other an SVSS ED 4.5-24x56. They have recently begun updating the feature sets of these two lines to make them more competitive. The opto-mechanical quality is already there. I believe Sightron is a solid brand that you can be proud to offer to your customers. (y)

P.S. I only have two things to criticize about Sightron: first, their reticle choices tend to be pretty limited and somewhat antiquated for tactical shooting, although they have offered a few better choices recently. The other criticism concerns the models below the SIII and SVSS lines; they're not really bad scopes, they're just sort of average and uninspired designs. Hopefully, Sightron has plans to upgrade those or drop them so they can concentrate on what they do well.

I have an S3 6-24 on a 300WM and for the price I am completely happy. Some posts I’ve read said lack of a zero stop was a deal breaker but I made a home made zero stop for it out of a nylon washer. Lets me get about 2/3 of a turn down if I need it and it was like 30 cents. Glass is nice and as of now I’m going to get a second and put it on a new 308 build.

I've an older (ca. 2007 ish) SIII 6-24x50 that has the SFP mildot reticle with the MOA turrets that was all the rage at the time thanks to Leupold.

I still use mine for load development across most of my rifles. Zero complaints about glass quality and tracking. It'll never see serious field use, but that is because of the features.

I haven't kept up with the improvements they've made over the last 14 years, but I wouldn't hesitate to say that my example at least is a very solid mid-level target scope.

Have owned several in the past. All SIII models (3.5-10, (2) 6-24 and 8-32)

Haven’t bought a new one recently. The ones I have are made in Japan. Have a ton of rounds through them for target, hunting, Fclass. Very reliable optics

They lack, or at least did, many features at the time compared to competition. Like zero stop, high speed turrets, illumination. They may have that now. I’m honestly not sure

I’d guess Athlon would give them a run for the money. But the Sightrons can certainly be a reliable choice

Seen several on the fclass line. Have used my 8-32 for this as well.

I’ve swapped over to NF and other options over the years just to have more features that I wanted in the optic. Have a few Sightrons I still mount to rifles for load testing. And a couple have gone to friends who use consistently and still run well

They are nice for the money, with good optical quality and low weights. They have been slow to add the features many others have. But they're also less expensive than the full featured scopes they compete against.

My only complaint is they have relatively narrow FOVs across both their STAC and S3 lines.
