Suppressors Silencer Shop Single Shot NFA Gun Trust

You could go the single shot gun trust route and only put yourself for now. The added bonus of this, anyone you add down the road will not have to get fingerprinted nor photographed.

Cons:
If you ever need a trust for other items, they have to go on a separate. You can't use this one for multiple items.

Yes they are separate for each suppressor you buy. I went with the unlimited as I bought a bunch of cans but the process is really easy and silencer shop makes it seamless.

The Single Shot unlimited is a great deal.

One major benefit to the Single Shot Trusts if if you want to have multiple trustees but not have to coordinate all the fingerprints. Say you have a single NFA Trust and you buy 1 suppressor. Then you go add your brother/sister/mother/dad/wife/cousin/uncle/best friend to the trust so they can use then. Now when you go purchase a second suppressor and you prepare to submit your Form 4 you now have to get prints and responsible person forms for all of those people since they're on the trust. You could decide to just take them all off the trust but if you do that then they have to stay off the trust until the Form 4 is approved.

With the Single Shot trust this is no problem. Each suppressor has it's own trust and you can add anyone you want after you get it.

The Single Shot is also nice if you have suppressor you only want to share with Bill and another suppressor you want to only share with Tom. With SS you just add Bill to the one trust and Tom to the other.

I bought a suppressor through a local dealer not Silencer Shop. He wanted to use Silencer Shops process where you go to a kiosk and enter all you're information then sign electronically. Then Silencer Shop files the paper work with the ATF. I would recommend a follow up call after signing all the forms if you are using Silencer Shop to file the paperwork. Just out of curiosity I decided to call and see if everything was in order with the paper work and was informed that the dealer had some kind of error on his end with something. Silencer Shop never contacted the dealer to let them know there was an error on his end so it'e been over a month since everything was signed and nothing has been submitted to the ATF to start the filing process.

If you order through Silencer Shop and create a customer account, you can track the status of your paperwork right there on their site...
