Also, I don't know if you guys watch Sons of Anarchy but Tig and Juice were there at the afterparty, as well as Mike Miller and one other Miami Heat player. They just wanted to show up to meet and get pics with him which was pretty damn cool.

I disagree. IF you are going to give up on a fight you don't risk a head shot and potentially crippling yourself. Weidman had him in a submission early in the first, if Silva wanted to throw the fight and give up the belt he could have tapped. You are saying he dropped his hands and let himself get knocked out resulting in a concussion? That is beyond absurd. As a fighter you don't take that kind of risk in bodily harm. Had Silva decided he was tired of being the champion..... turn the belt in. Tap when he had the ankle lock set, the crowd doesn't know if he is hurting or not. He took home $600,000 for a loss regardless. Pretty damn good rate for 15 minutes of "work".

Was the other Heat player Chris "The Birdman" Anderson(One with all the Tats) by any chance? Have you stopped smiling yet? Tell your cousin to arrange the rematch on Jan 18th that's the same week ShotShow 2014 will be on. Now that's what I would call a "Mancation"!!!!!!
Wow that would be awesome!!!! I think I'd be back in school though, I'm just praying it's during one of my vacations. And no, it wasn't the Birdman. I never watch basketball except for this year's playoffs, but I still know "the guy with the crazy mohawk and tattoos up to his neck." Lol.
KP '14, man that is badass that you got to be at the fight AND the Champ is your cousin. Would it be possible to get an autograph from Chris for my 6yr old son?... might be too much to ask but thought I'd try.
Blaze I'll see what I can do. I'll be spending more time with them when school starts because it's only about 10 mins from where my aunt and uncle live. He's been ALLLLL over the place since he got back to NY on Sunday, doing dozens and dozens of interviews in the northeast! It's crazy! I'll try to get him at a good time I just have to get a hold of a poster or something for him to sign.
KP that is cool, I'm sure it was a hell of a experience to watch that live and then get to go celebrate with him. Tell him there are a LOT of proud Americans supporting him. I for one cannot stand Silva, he is arrogant and a show boat. I was literally jumping up and down in my house when Chris connected. If they rematch I think Chris has his number now, it will be much harder for Silva to beat him now that Chris has his methods down pat. He better go ask Dana for a "real tough" opponents like Chris Lieban or some no name dickwad that they were giving him a couple years ago.
Words cannot even describe KYS! I'm still smiling ear to ear every time I relive that feeling up in the stands. I swear I'm still recovering from losing my voice; never screamed so loud in my life when I saw Silva drop to the mat, and I got SO amped up when Chis jumped on him for the ground and pound!
I was chanting U.....S.....A!!!!!!!! during Frankie Edgar's fight (He's from Jersey) and I started one during the first round of Chris's fight. There were so many Brazilians there it was absolutely necessary to get the USA chants going lol. I was telling everyone USA had a Brazilian buffet that night.
As you guys can tell, I'm super excited about this whole thing. I was shaking during the first round it was so intense, seeing him so ready and focused for the fight.
Also, if you looked closely at the end of the fight you could see his sister (the redhead) jumping up and down frantically ringside and then she ran into the cage haha. That basically sums up how we all felt. He also had a couple hundred friends and coaches there from high school and college supporting him. It was incredible
