Who is using these? How well do they work? I'm a heavy equipment operator and wanting to use these for double duty at work and shooting on the weekends. At work it would be nice to be able to listen to music and turn off the electronic listening part. Is that possible? Also how is the sound quality?

My other option is a set of isotunes for work and a set of etymotics for shooting but would really be nice to have 1 that will do it all

Had a pair and returned them. Sound was muffled and got tangled in the cord running to the battery unit.

Ive been using one for a couple years.. I really like it. The main reason I went with it is for using comm radios. Yes, you can turn the hear thru audio off.
It has 4 levels of audio level low, med ,high and holy shit that's freakin loud! (and off, of course) Easily adjustable, which is nice. The sound quality to me, at least with a comm radio is good, I've never tried music. I've never compared it to a dedicated system like the Etymotics, my guess is the Ety's would beat it slightly. The only CONS I can think of are, as mentioned above, the wires are a pain. You gotta have a system with your gear to deal with running the wires, not a biggie to me since Im running a radio anyway. The other CON is battery life... EATS AAA like a damn shark after baby seals..

Edit: add.. The foamies that come with it are ok, but I ordered the after market ones made by Comply, they're waaay better.

Thanks guys. Sounds like I'm better off with 2 seperate dedicated earbud setups instead of trying to do everything with 1.

You could probably find an enginerd to fab you an input cable from your audio source to the Nacre Quiet Pro units available on Ebay.
Fantastic noise cancellation and very comfortable.

I have a pair. Not great in wind, otherwise great. So glad to take off headset. Music sounds good.
