Since I have no idea when I will get a JHR.....

I had wanted to spend the winter getting set up with a new rifle and working up loads....just killing time over the winter with good projects. Unfortunately the JHR is unknown as to when, so I need to look at potential other options.

I like custom guns and I can not lie

My JHR was ordered in 6.5 CM and I have been collecting components and reading stuff for that so I would like to stay with it.

I have been pursuing the classifieds but frankly I am not smart enough to know a good deal on a used rifle when I see one (pistols are a different story). I have looked at the PRS blog and done enough reading to make my head spin. Impact and Defiance actions seem to be the most popular, and here in KC of course we have GA.

Thoughts on trying to find a built rifle (or one available in 60 days or less from a builder?

LRI could probably build you a barreled action in 60 days or less, then drop into your chassis of choice

You could buy a ready-to-ship barreled action of your choice from Core (now Altus) and drop it in a Bravo. Pick a trigger of your choice and you’ve got yourself a JHR minus the 1 yr + wait time

What the person above me said. Get a Origin action order up a prefit barrel from hawk hill or northland shooters supply. A stock or chassis you like then screw on and go.

Plus one for core (Altus) buy a BA from them and choose your barrel length and all, and have it in less than a week. BTW Colby is awesome to deal with there, There staff is some of the most friendliest and honest guys you could ask for, they’ll treat you the same no matter if you’re a PRS champion or a first time gun purchaser
