I've got a Hornady comparator but I really dislike the fact that it's offset and doesn't measure down the center of the case- the jaw of the caliper sits off center on the case head or the base of the bullet. So, I was looking at getting a Sinclair comparator which doesn't do this. Then I ran across the Forster Datum Dial tool. It's considerably more expensive and I'm wondering if it's, in some way, 'better' or more precise than the Sinclair setup?
Don't mind spending $$ on quality but not everything expensive is worth it.
