I've got my Bergara all set for some NRL22 matches. I have one thing I might like to change out though, the trigger.

I am wondering what would be best for NRL22, single, or two-stage triggers? I've had two stage triggers in the past on target AR15 builds, but don't know if they will be slower with NRL type shooting.

Seems to me the conscious thought of taking up the first stage might slow a person down compared to single stage.

I run a 2 stage on my vudoo and going fast, I have no issues pulling through the first stage quickly. But I also utilize the first stage on the long distance precision shots before breaking the second stage. I can’t imagine it’ll be a hindrance to your shooting. This is coming from a single stage trigger as well

I felt the same way, and it did effect my shooting at first its just a matter of getting use to it, which didnt take but a match or 2 my problem was i blew straight through the first stage and the second was breaking at 8oz,so i adjusted it up to 12oz and that made the difference for me.

Like Rob I’m not much of a fan of two stage triggers for PRS/NRL style shooting. I tried one briefly and went back after one match. It‘s all going to come down to personal preference and practicing with whatever you have.

I started PRS with 2-stage triggers. They're all gone. First one left after I pulled through the first stage twice in a match... not quite an ND but it got my attention. Main issue is I like a light pull (Vudoo and centerfires all set at 8 ounces). That's not much resistance to stop on after the first stage. Second one was sold shortly afterward.

At the end of the day, it's personal preference.

I am running a B14R as well. I am running a single stage. However my TT just took a dump tonight so factory trigger back in. Waiting for shipping info a TT Single stage Diamond will be going back in. It did help me tighten up my paper groups and I’m sure it would help me on some plates as well. I am really enjoying the NRL22 matches.
